Students launch petition: smart cameras have to go 123
Students have launched a petition against the so-called ‘classroom scanners’ that have been hanging at the entrances of all the university buildings and lecture halls for some time now.

Action groups deliver ultimatum to universities
Action groups Casual Academy, 0.7 and WOinActie have jointly issued an ultimatum to the Dutch universities: the workload and the number of temporary contracts need to go down. If not, action will be taken on Valentine’s Day.

IRL teaching starts again in September
Slowly but surely, the university is opening up again. Starting in September, students will be able to return to the physical classrooms. Universities and transport authorities still have to reach an agreement about student travel.

Because of the corona virus, some students choose to go back to their parents or to their home country. The Housing Office, which is responsible for international students’ accommodation, caters to tenants who want to leave.

Leiden University will not conduct any face to face teaching until the end of the academic year (August 31). Exams will also go online.
